Francestown, New Hampshire
Francestown was
a bustling center of commerce in the eighteenth century. Passed by during
the era of railroads, its Colonial main street represents much the same
appearance as it did generations ago. Outside the village are many remaining
Colonial farmsteads. Now an active recreation center, Francestown is home
to the Crotched Mountain Golf Club and shares Crotched Mountain Ski
Area with Bennington.
